SERA stands for Server Emergency & Recovery Agent, a tool for handling operational issues and supporting server recovery. It is part of the DCMedic project.

It is an internal tool under development. Partner access is available on request by arrangement with the operator.

Collect status information and available diagnostics. Help identify the affected server and what needs investigation.
Provide information for intervention and recovery checks. Access and individual actions must stay within the administrator’s permissions.
Consider downtime, unused capacity and recovery costs alongside the technical fault. Integration with the DCMetrik financial view is part of the development direction.
The aim is more than getting a server running again. We want evidence for deciding whether to repair, replace a component or change the operating setup. We consider service costs, lost revenue and long-term reliability.
